A NUMBER of drivers have been hauled before the courts this month for being caught out breaking the law.
In one case a Bracknell driver was clocked doing 110MPH on the A33 in Reading, and another was caught drink-driving in Windsor.
We have rounded up five drivers who have been sentenced in court in September, and the sentences they are now facing.
101MPH driver
A 28-year-old man, from Bracknell, has been fined after being caught speeding over 100mph.
Jake Beale, of Pipit Green, Bracknell, was snapped by a speed camera on the A33 dual carriageway in Reading.
It happened on May 8, 2021, and the speeding driver clocked 101MPH on the 70MPH road.
Beale was fined £500, and ordered to pay £50 victim surcharge and £90 court costs.
Six points have also been added to his driving licence.
Driver on their phone
One driver was caught out using a phone or handheld device while at the wheel in Bracknell.
Kerry O'Donnell, of Cedar Drive, Bracknell, was convicted of using the device while driving in Reeds Hill on March 30, 2021.
The 41 year old was fined £220. She was also ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £90 in court costs.
Six points have been added to her driving licence.
Four-figure fine
A Warfield resident has been hauled before the courts for speeding over the 70MPH limit.
Simon Teague, of Greystock Road, was caught speeding in an Audi Quattro on the M40 near Bicester.
It happened on May 2, 2021.
The 47 year old was fined £1,707, and also ordered to pay £170 victim surcharge and £90 court costs.
Six points was added to his driving licence.
Speeding at 110MPH
Binfield resident Matthew Armstrong has been convicted for speeding over 100MPH.
The 34 year old, of Fletcher Gardens, was caught driving at 110MPH in a 70mph zone on the A33 in Grazeley.
Armstrong clocked up the speedy figure on March 28, 2021.
He was handed a £638 fine, £64 victim surcharge, and £85 court costs. Six points was also added to his driving licence.
Drink driver who failed to stop
Marc Stay, of Benbricke Green in Bracknell, was convicted of drink-driving in Windsor on November 25, 2019.
The 45 year old was caught driving in St Leonards Road with 94mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath - the legal limit being 35mcg.
He was also convicted of being the driver of a vehicle that failed to stop after a collision in Windsor on November 25, 2019.
Stay has been disqualified from driving for 24 months and made subject to a community order.
He was fined £200, must also pay £95 victim surcharge and £500 court costs.
