Here are the ten top-rated things to do in Bracknell according to Tripadvisor:

1) The Look Out Discovery Centre

This has been rated as one of the top 10 things to do in Bracknell, where children of all ages can enjoy over 90 activities.

Its a hands-on-science experience where you can launch a hydrogen rocket, play with boats in the indoor street or have fun in the body mirror.

From Thursday, July 22 until Sunday, September 5, the centre is running a Bugs and Beasties outdoor workshop where children can learn about bugs, their habitats, their bodies and what they eat.

Then children can do bug hunting after.

Based on Based on 538 reviews, the attraction has a four-and-a-half rating on Tripadvisor, with tourists raving about their visit.

One recent review, entitled ‘Best place to unwind’, reads: “This place offers so much for children, parents and outdoor enthusiast. From rope ways up in the trees to battery-powered segway in two levels of the route and the science museum. Mountain bike-friendly with a lot of parking spaces."

2) South Hill Park Arts Centre and Wilde Theatre

Housing two theatres, a dance studio, creative spaces and a cinema within the grounds of an 18th century mansion house in Bracknell – South Hill Park hosts over 300 shows, events and films each year, alongside a busy programme of over 250 courses and workshops.

Supported by the likes of Sir Kenneth Branagh, the Arts Centre offers both big-name comedians alongside nationally renowned ballet companies, quality in-house drama and an annual pantomime.

3) Lily Hill Park

People love to visit this park in Bracknell and it's no surprise.

Lily Hill Park is a Green Flag Award winning 23-hectare public open space, located to the north east of Bracknell and less than a mile from the town centre.

It has an beautiful array of flowers and possible the 'world's best hot chocolate' from Ziggy's cafe.

One person said: "Gentle amble through twisted trunks, yews and a boardwalk all crammed into 50 odd acres, topped off by the world's best hot chocolate from Ziggy's."

4) The Lexicon, Bracknell

Quite possibly the 'best shopping centre in the UK?'

The town centre has undergone a massive regeneration giving it a fresh and modern feel.

There is plenty of accessible parking and has lots of great options for dining out, including Nandos, TGI Friday's and more.

You can even visit the cinema or enjoy a tasty food buffet too (depending on how hungry you are).

The Lexicon isn't just a shopping centre, it's a place where friends and family can get together and enjoy a good night out.

It has 113 reviews so far with 4 stars and one person simply said: "WOW"

They said: "This shopping centre is by far the best shopping centre in the UK. It has the lot, pubs , cafes, restaurants, and all the top shops, me and my wife love it."

5) Coral Reef Waterworld

Bracknell wouldn't be Bracknell without having Coral Reef.

It is the highlight of many childhood memories for people across Berkshire, and it's no wonder why.

It has 647 reviews but it only has a 3 and half star rating.

People say it's a "great day out" and never disappoints.

One reviewer added: "We had a great day out at Coral reef, loved the slides and reasonable wait times. It was busy but not packed which was great during the summer holidays. What really made it for me was all the staff who were so helpful and friendly. We will be back."

6) Whoosh Play Centre

If you're looking for a fun-filled activity to keep the kids quiet for a few hours then this place will be a life-saver.

It has four and half stars on Tripadvisor with reviewers saying that they'll definitely come back again after meeting other friendly parents.

Whoosh play centre is a three storey soft play with a nice cafe and friendly staff.

One person said: "Came to play today with our 10 month old. We had so much fun and it was great for him to interact with other children of a similar age.

"Staff were friendly and welcoming and so were the other parents which I haven’t always found with these type of places. The food was a reasonable price too. Will definitely be coming again!"

7) Bill Hill Ancient Monument

This open space is rich in history with archaeological value.

At the top of the hill, on its eastern side, is a circular mound of earth, hollowed out in the centre. This is the remains of a Bronze Age tumulus or round barrow, an example of a prehistoric monument that can be found all over Britain.

Bill Hill has been designated a Scheduled Ancient Monument since the 1950s. This means that it is recognised nationally as an important archaeological site and is protected by law.

It's great for keen historians but some have said it was a bit 'disappointing' to see.

Having received 3.5 stars on Tripadvisor, one person said: "Really only of interest to very keen historian types. Not much to see regarding ancient barrows. Certainly not worth going out of your way for. Google maps directs you straight to a car park there - but it is a private one, so take care. No problem when we parked there."

8) Feathers and Fur Falconry Centre

This falconry centre showcasing wonderful British birds of prey including Barn Owls and Peregrine Falcons.

Located in Moss End, Feathers and Fur Falconry offers a wide range of Bird of Prey handling experiences such as half day experiences and Owl Experiences.

The centre also offers photography sessions, school talks, group visits, care therapy. It is free to enter and open to the public.

It has 194 reviews with boasting an impressive 5 star rating on Tripadvisor, having also been awarded a Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Award in 2020.

One reviewer said: "We had the most amazingly beautiful afternoon this weekend, with an Owl Experience with Sadie at Feathers and Fur.

"Beautiful Owls, great characters and learnt so much from Sadie about the owls, wildlife and the environment too, she has such passion for this subject and the birds in the centre."

9) Go Ape Bracknell

Owned by the Crown Estate, Swinley Forest comprises over 2,600 acres of woodland across gently undulating hills. Home to three experiences, Bracknell is the perfect ticket to adventure away from the city.

The woods provide some of the best mountain biking in south east England and the Look Out Discovery Centre has over 90 activities for children of all ages. There is plenty to keep you entertained for a whole day out in Swinley Forest, Bracknell.

Go Ape also has 214 excellent reviews on Tripadvisor giving it a four and half star rating.

One person said: "Fantastic morning spent at go ape Bracknell, staff are all friendly and welcoming and the treetop challenge was exactly that! Challenging for a fifty plus dad but absolutely perfect for my 18 and 16 year olds."

10) Puzzalogical Escape Rooms

Bracknell's newest and most immersive Escape Room gives game players 60 minutes of fully immersive live entertainment.

You will get locked into a room where you and your teammates will try and crack codes, discover clues and solve puzzles in the one hour time frame.

It is rated as one of the best things to do in Bracknell and one couple even got engaged there after her boyfriend spoke to the team to organise the biggest surprise ever.

Reviewers gave it a five star rating out of 117 reviews and one person recently said: "I’ve been to a few escape rooms but this is one of the best! Well set up, spacious and fun. Staff were great too."
