HALF-TERM is well and truly here but some parents might be thinking about which 'big school' their child will step into in September.
There are lots of secondary schools in Bracknell Forest but children will always have a preference as to which one is their favourite.
To make it easier for parents, we have compiled a list of open days that some schools in the Bracknell Forest area will be running in the coming months.
Below is a list of schools in the borough, their inspection report rating, and when they are hosting open days for prospecting parents of potential students.

Garth Hill College
Ofsted rating: Good
Open evening: Wednesday, September 29
Ranelagh School
Ofsted rating: Outstanding
Open days/evenings:Thursday, September 16 and Monday, September 20.
Students are invited to visit the school with their parents or carers during the afternoon session (2.00pm – 3.15pm) when the school will be open for tours.
The evening session for parents or carers (6.30pm – 8.00pm) will start with a presentation about the school, including Admissions Policy and Procedures.

The Brakenhale School
Ofsted rating: Good
Open Evening: Thursday, September 26 from 6pm to 8.30pm
School Tours for Year 7 intake take place between 9.15am – 10.45am and these are the dates you can book onto online: 21/23/28/30 September or 5/7/12/14/19/21 October
Kennel Lane School
Ofsted rating: Good
All learners who are on roll at Kennel Lane School have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). All learners at Kennel Lane School have a learning need.

Easthampstead Park Community School
Ofsted rating: Good
Open evenings: EPCS's website sates: "In light of the current situation with coronavirus, we are not able to hold our open evening this year in the traditional way. Instead, we have prepared a virtual open evening experience!"

St Crispin's School
Ofsted rating: awaiting
Open evening: Monday, September 20 from 6.30-8.30pm.
You can reserve a seat at Ms Rhodes, Headteacher’s welcome at 6.45pm, 7.15pm or 7.45pm. Online booking opens Friday 3rd September.
You can learn about the Year 6 transition programme from Mr Blyth, Deputy Headteacher (Pastoral and Transition Lead) and chat with current students who will be on hand to answer any questions that you or your child may have.
There's also a number of open mornings from 9 to 10.30am on September 22/27 and October 4/6 and 12.
