POLICE have shut down six houses linked to anti-social behaviour following “unacceptable” fears of drug-dealers “turning up” in the area.

The properties, on Calfridus Way, are all subject to a closure order -- which means they can not be entered for a certain period of time.

Police secured the orders for two houses on Wednesday, July 21 following reports of anti-social behaviour, drug dealing and disturbances originating or being directly linked to those properties.

Officers were granted closure orders for another four properties on Thursday, July 22.

Only the people listed on the closure order will be allowed to enter the properties for a period of three months.

Should someone enter the properties without a reasonable excuse, they could be fined, imprisoned or both.

PC Ayres of the Bracknell Central North Neighbourhood Policing team, said: "These two properties have contributed to ongoing anti-social behaviour leading to a large impact on the day to day lives of other residents.

“The anti-social behaviour and in particular, fear of drug dealers turning up in the area is unacceptable.

“This is just the first step to tackle anti-social behaviour in this group of properties.

“We are pleased that the Court has granted this order.

“Please inform us of any suspected breaches or attempted breaches in relation to the order."
