2. Date given for 're-opening' of Bracknell Brants Bridge walk in centre

A date has been given for the reopening of Bracknell Healthspace at Brants Bridge as a walk-in centre.

Walk-in services were closed in March last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, and since then, the facility has been mainly used for those who have booked appointments.

3. Progress made on demolition of Bracknell's iconic Bentalls building

Progress is being made on the demolition of the much loved Bentalls building in Bracknell town centre.

Bentalls was meant to be levelled in May to make way for the massive Deck project, which involves building a dining and shopping destination bridging Princess Square and The Lexicon.

4. Five new Covid 'hotspots' identified in Bracknell area as cases are on the rise

Bracknell News:

The Bracknell Forest area has five coronavirus ‘hotspots’ where case rates are above 300 per 100,000 people.

According to a map on the government website, Binfield & Popeswood recorded the highest rolling infection rate in the seven days to July 6 with 36 cases giving a rolling rate of 349.3.

5. Flooding damage to new hospital site could delay opening

MAJOR flood damage has affected two floors of a new hospital site in Ascot after a burst pipe went unnoticed for a full bank holiday weekend.

The pipe burst at the construction site for new Heatherwood Hospital building, which is yet to be made fully operational, and could result in a delay to opening.
