AN ATTEMPTED burglary in Wokingham has led to police revealing security camera footage of a man they wish to speak to regarding the incident. 

At 12.50pm on Friday, July 2, a woman aged in her 50s was at her home in Barkham Ride, Finchampstead, Wokingham, when she noticed a man who seemed to be trying to remove the beading from a rear window.

Window beading is the framework that holds the window pane in place - had it been removed, the window would have been wide open.  

He man saw the victim inside, then walked away.

The victim then went on to the front of the property where she saw the man.

He then told her he was fixing a window, and walked away.

The woman then went back to the rear window and noticed the beading had been removed.

Investigating officer, PC Wasim Akram, of Loddon Valley police station, said: “I am releasing these CCTV images, as the man pictured may have vital information about this incident that could assist with our investigation.

“If you recognise him, or believe this to be you, please make contact with Thames Valley Police, either by reporting online or calling 101.
