A FRUSTRATED litter picker has hit out at 'lazy residents' who dump their rubbish in front of recycling banks.

Dozens of bottles of alcohol and bags have been dumped outside Jocks Lane recycling bank in Bracknell after the sunny weekend.

Resident Helen Gartner noticed the bags of recycling and bottles left outside the banks in Jocks Lane Community Centre.

Feeling 'angry' at the 'laziness of people', Helen said residents should try to recycle their rubbish elsewhere if the banks are full.

She said: "I litter pick locally twice daily while dog walking and I feel shocked. We also have an amazing park keeper who cleans up the park daily early in the mornings. I find the attitude of lots of people very lazy as they assume it will get cleared. But as someone said it is flytipping!"

Bracknell Forest Council provides a recycling bank at Jocks Lane where residents are able to recycle glass and textiles.

Other recycling banks are available across the borough including Priestwood Community Centre, Braybrook recreation ground and Albert Road Car Park.

Ms Garnter has been litter picking throughout lockdown and also volunteers as a steward at South Hill Park.

She said how she always ends up cleaning the theatre and all venues across the borough after people have visited.

Adding: "I am a dog walker and try and give dog owners a good name , but rubbish isn't often left by dogs or their owners. Most people who dump rubbish drive so can take all their stuff home with them. The photo was taken just now and bottles etc have obviously reproduced! I live walking distance away and am shocked as many of the items are not just bottles."
