TWO drivers have been hauled before the courts after speeding through a red light.

The pair have been ordered to pay more than £300 each for ignoring traffic lights on the Bagshot Road, Bracknell.

Jacek Jaron, of Oxford Road, Reading, was convicted of driving on a road while failing to comply with a red traffic light signal.

A hearing at Oxford Magistrates' Court on June 2, heard how the 48 year old was driving on the busy Bracknell road on October 28, 2020. He reportedly skipped the red light which the court heard was 'illuminated for 1.5 seconds'.

He was fined £220, and was ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £90 court costs.

Jaron will also have three points added to his licence.

The very next day after Jaron was caught ignoring traffic signals, another driver was caught out doing the same on the Bagshot Road.

Aaron Cooper, of Brook Avenue in Farnham, was convicted of the same offence at a hearing in Oxford Magistrates' Court on June 2.

The 50 year old was convicted of driving on a road while failing to comply with a red light traffic signal.

He was also fined £220, and ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £90 court costs.

Three points will be added to Cooper's driving licence.
