A man is in hospital with 'serious head injury' following a crash on the A3095. 

Emergency services included the Thames Valley Air Ambulance were called to the scene shortly after 1pm following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

A South Central Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a 999 call at 13:06 with the caller reporting a collision between a car and a male pedestrian on Maidenhead Road, Warfield.

"We sent a paramedic team leader in a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance and the Thames Valley Air Ambulance critical care response vehicle to the scene.

"The pedestrian had sustained a serious head injury as a result of the collision and following initial treatment at the scene, was then taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital."

The News understands Maidenhead Road was closed following the incident but live updates from the AA indicate traffic is now flowing quickly through the area.
