TWO girls have been arrested after a teenager was dragged to the ground by her hair and left battered in an alleyway. 

The victim was walking next to Hazel Avenue towards Cuttle Brook Nature Reserve in Thame at around 3.50pm on Monday when she was approached by two girls. 

They grabbed her by the hair, punched her in the face and dragged her to the ground where they continued to kick and stamp on her before running away. 

She was left with redness and bruising to her cheek as well as a lump to the back of her head. 

A 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl, both from Buckinghamshire, were arrested on suspicion of assault thereby occasioning actual bodily harm. They have been released on police bail.

Investigating officer, PC Olivia Horsley, based at Thame police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have information about this assault to please come forward.

“I believe there may have been footage of this incident on social media, therefore would also ask people to share that with us.
