WOKINGHAM residents have the second highest credit score in the UK, according to new research.
Research from Moneybarn has revealed the areas with the best - and worst - credit scores in the UK by sourcing the average score out of 100 of each local authority from Experian.

A good credit score is something we all rely on to be able to borrow money for big purchases or even day to day spending.
So what did the results show?
The City of London has the best credit score with an average score of 877.
Wokingham is in second place with an average score of 864.
In third place is Chiltern with an average score of 862.

The results show that nine of the top ten locations are all in the south of England.
At the other end of the scale was Kingston upon Hull which had the worst credit score in the country, according to the research.
The average score was 679.
