The following cases were heard at Reading and Slough Magistrates’ Court:

January 19:

BRENDAN RYCE, 20, of Blackwater Close, Wokingham, admitted stealing two Philips electric toothbrushes worth £159.98 from Superdrug in Reading on September 20, 2020. Also admitted stealing an Apple power adaptor worth £79 from John Lewis in Reading on September 12, 2020, and also admitted stealing a Google Smart speaker and Sony headphones worth £89 from John Lewis in Reading on September 20, 2020. Given a conditional discharge for 12 months. Also ordered to pay £327.98 compensation.

Bracknell News:

LLOYD BOWER, 31, of Roycroft Lane, Finchampstead, admitted stealing electric toothbrushes worth £110 from Tesco in Wokingham on December 2, 2019, and convicted of common assault in Wokingham on December 2, 2019. Also admitted stealing bottles of vodka worth £64 from Tesco in Wokingham on December 2, 2019, and admitted two charges of failing to surrender to Reading Magistrates’ Court on January 22, 2020, and October 31, 2020. Also admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place in Kentwood Hill, Reading, on October 30, 2020. Sentenced to 22 weeks in prison suspended for 18 months due to previous record and offended while on bail. Must also pay £120 compensation and £100 court costs.
