AS SHOPS reopened for the first time this year, long queues of people were spotted waiting outside popular shops in The Lexicon.

Ahead of the reopening of non-essential shops, crowds were seen queuing to get inside the fashion stores.

And in Bracknell, long lines tailed around shops such as River Island and Primark.

Here’s what one of customer said about her shopping experience in town yesterday after the third lockdown.

Kirsty said: "It's so different from what everyone's been used to so going back out it's been really stressful and it's not anyone expected.

"The shop themselves have been well organised and everything has been well thought of and planned out but it's just the stress and anxiety of getting back out again that's the biggest thing.

The Lexicon shopper said she felt 'stressed' by how busy the town was.

She added: "There are so many people too. I haven't been in Primark yet but you wait until you go inside, the queues go right back around from the till into the shop."

Despite it being an "absolute headache" for the shopper, she will be returning back to the shops as it's important to get back to normal life.

Kirsty added: "It's been an absolute headache but I need to get back out and its weird how easily fitting it is to not leave the house, I work from home and so I need to get back out more regularly for my mindset."
