A PUB in Ascot has revealed how it plans to keep serving residents now the country is slowly starting to reopen.

The Royal Forester’s Pub, Ascot, is set to reopen on Monday, April 12, in line with government coronavirus restrictions.

However as of March 29, up to six people can meet up outdoors at one time, and the pub has responded by making their own ‘makeaway’ takeaway meal boxes.

Ross Pike, Oakman’s Chef Director, said: “Lamb is the traditional meat for this time of year, and I’ve chosen lamb rump for our Easter Feast as it is such a flavoursome cut - yet easy to cook.

"Of course, an Easter lunch doesn’t have to include meat: there are whole roasted Porcini mushrooms at the centre of our Mushroom Wellington, plus Portobellos in a perfect blend of onion, garlic and parsnips.
