THE latest crime statistics for the Bracknell town centre have been revealed by police recently.

Data on the number of crime reports and where they took place have been released earlier this month, detailing the different types of instances police officers have had to deal with throughout January.

According to Police.uk, 17 reports of various crimes were made across the 'Bracknell town centre' area.

These include four violence and sexual offences which took place by the Bracknell Train Station, Market Street, and one report made close the Lexicon building.

Three shoplifting reports took place on Market Street, and one report made close to Eagle Lane.

Other crimes include one report of drug crime, one theft from a person, one criminal damage/arson, two burglaries, two public order reports, and three thefts listed as 'other'.

These statistics show a drop in overall crime rates from January 2020 (28 crime reports made), and also a drop from the previous month, December 2020 (31 crime reports made).

Furthermore, a total of 134 different crime reports were made in January 2021 in the Bracknell Central South area, covering Wildridings, Easthampstead, Birch Hill, and Jennett's Park.

Similarly, 90 crime reports were made in January 2021 across Bracknell's Northern Parishes, including Popeswood, Binfield, Warfield, Winkfield Row, Winkfield, Chavey Down, Cranbourne, Woodside, and North Ascot.

Although police have released a map detailing the locations of these instances, the location of the hotspots shown on this map has been anonymised.
