A KNIFEMAN is being hunted by police after a 'young victim' was attacked on a train from Ascot.

British Transport Police (BTP) are investigating a robbery on-board a service between Ascot and Longcross stations.

The force said a man boarded the train at Ascot on Saturday, January 9, and approached the victim.

The attacker pulled out a small knife and attempted to snatch the victim's electric scooter. 

When the victim resisted, the man punch him in the face and took his bag. The attacker fled the scene at Sunningdale Railway Station.

BTP has, this week, released CCTV of a man officers believe may have information about the robbery to help with the investigation.
