A CORONAVIRUS testing site in Crowthorne will be affected by roadworks next week.

The Morgan Centre, on Wellington Road, Crowthorne, will still be accessible to the public, but diversion routes have been set in place.

The Bracknell Forest Council said that access will be available via local diversion routes signposting to the LFT Centre via B3348 Dukes Ride, New Wokingham Road, Waterloo Road/Church Street.

Traffic will also be diverted around the roadworks via B3348 Bracknell Road, A3095 Foresters Way, Rackstraw Road, A321 Yorktown Road, Crowthorne Road/Sandhurst Road.

This will enable access to the centre while avoiding congestion on other routes.

Other sites offering rapid coronavirus testing include Sandhurst Memorial Hall, Sandhurst, Great Hollands Pavillion, Bracknell, Brownlow Hall, Warfield, and The News Priestwood Community Centre, also in Bracknell.

A spokesman for the Bracknell Forest Council said: "From Monday, March 1, the access route to the Lateral Flow Testing centre at the Morgan Centre, Crowthorne will be affected by planned roadworks.

"The centre will remain open for testing and diversion routes will be in place to make sure those with appointments can still gain access.

"Around one in three people with COVID-19 have no symptoms. By having regular asymptomatic testing, people can help stop the spread of the virus."
