A little boy fighting Leukaemia is hoping to get the birthday he deserves thanks to his mum's heartfelt idea.

Zachary White from Bracknell will be turning seven on March 9 and his mum want's to give him the best birthday following a year of intense chemotherapy and hospital visits.

His mum Katie said: "On Valentine's day, February 2019, he was diagnosed with AML leukaemia.

"He had chemotherapy, but it didn't work as well as we liked, so he went straight to the stem cell transplant, as he was classed as 'high risk'.

Bracknell News:

"He’s been quite down in the dumps recently and seems to be done with all the hospital visits for various ailments, so we need to pick him.

"That coupled with the awful year he’s had and lockdown we are looking to do something to really put a smile on his face and show him all the support he has behind him."

After last year's surprise socially-distanced party in Bullbrook to celebrate the anniversary of Zach's stem-cell transplant – his mum hopes to deliver something extra special for her little boy."

Katie is asking the strong Bracknell community to send a birthday card to Zach.

She hopes the positive words inside the cards will encourage her little boy to keep fighting the leukaemia battle.

She added: "We are asking if anyone would like to send him a card, just a few words of positivity and a few smiles. Thank you so much in advance, we all really really appreciate your help with this mission.

"If you would like to, please can you send to his Nanny & Grandad’s house as below so that they can keep them secret until his special day."

Send a card to: Zachary White, 37 Pavilion Gardens, Staines, Middlesex, TW18 1LS
