AN inspiring mum from Bracknell is sharing her positive story after experiencing a year of ups and downs during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Charlotte Blaney from Bracknell felt like she had "lost her right arm" after the company she worked for went into administration and she got made redundant in November 2019.

After having no income of her own and relying on her partner Bradley to support the family, Charlotte was frantically trying to come up with ways to earn money during the first lockdown.

She said: ""I kept going around in my head and speaking with Brad about how I could contribute to our family as I still had no form of income.

"Being stuck inside with a young baby while your partner is still working; I do not know how I done it. Any families out there with young children, you are all amazing!"

After losing her Grandad in October 2019 and her auntie Kay during lockdown last year, Charlotte felt like she wanted to give up.

However, with trying to come up with ways to earn money, the 23-year-old thought of a business idea called MELTED.

She told the News: "I am not the most spiritual person, but when you lose two people so close to you, I found myself clutching at straws. I wanted to speak to them, I wanted to know they were okay, wherever they were.

"Myself and my Mum booked a reading, via zoom, with a medium. It was the most rewarding thing I have ever done. At the end the woman looked at me through the screen and said, "Charlotte, you have been thinking about starting up your own business? Mansel (my Grandad) says go for it, you will do better then you ever imagine.

"So that was it. We went for it. MELTED was officially born."

Charlotte is inspiring other residents in the Bracknell community that you can find your feet again despite the horrific year lockdown has been.

The business MELTED is a luxury soy melts which smell the room with a variety of uplifting scents.

She added: "It was so excited to finally be able to create what I had been thinking of for such along time. I wanted to use natural decorations, I wanted to fill everyone's homes with beautiful scents to bring a bit of happiness during such a tough time."
