DEVASTATED owners of a 10-month old kitten believe he was stolen after disappearing on Friday night.

Rory the ginger kitten vanished on Friday, February 5 from Ashbourne, Great Hollands.

His owner Donna Pressland contacted the News in the hope of widening the search for missing Rory.

She said: "We have been out all weekend looking for him and speaking to neighbours and putting posters up.

"He was a rescue kitten from Cyprus and means a great deal to myself and my blind partner.

“I can’t sleep, I can’t eat, he has just vanished. I don’t know if someone well meaning has taken him in or if something more sinister has happened. We waited so long for him to be able to come to the UK and now this. If someone has taken him, please return him to his family."

Rory the kitten was found hiding in a car engine in Cyprus by a vet.

He was rescued by Donna in Bracknell but has recently gone missing.

Ms Pressland said: "Do you know someone who has recently taken in a cat matching Rory’s description? We are offering a reward for information leading to his safe return.

"I can’t rest until he is safely home”

Rory is also microchipped and was wearing a purple collar and tag but he has digestive issues and if he's fed the wrong diet, he will require veterinary treatment.

Donna added “Please can people check their sheds, garages and outbuildings and keep a look out for him.

"If he is trapped somewhere I don’t know how long he will be able to survive in this cold weather”.
