A VIRTUAL competition for Wokingham residents is searching for new contestants to take part in it's Zoom-based version of Mastermind.

The #Woky Mastermind quiz, organised by the Wokingham Lions Club, is looking for eight contestants from within the borough to take part, who will be tested on both their general knowledge as well as a specialised subject of their own choosing.

The quiz will be hosted on Zoom, and live streamed over Facebook, with all of the proceeds made by the event going to personal crisis charity The Cowshed, which provides clean and ironed clothes to anyone in need of them.

The Mastermind-style quiz follows after the Lions club managed to raise more than £6,000 through virtual pub quizzes, which ran throughout the lockdowns in 2020.

Ian Grange, Wokingham Lions Club member and event organiser, said: “We are now looking for eight contestants to participate.

"You’ll need a specialised subject for us to quiz you on, the ability to use Zoom, be a Facebook user and be free at 8pm on February 18, 2021.
