Binfield House conversion (Planning reference 20/01087/FUL)
Binfield House, a protected building dating back to the late 18th century, is set to be refurbished and converted into new retirement apartments.
The site is protected because of its historical character and is located on Terrace Road North in Binfield.
It was converted into a nursing home in the 1980s but has laid empty since March 2020.
In light of this, Beechcroft Developments Limited are asking the council for special permission to turn the building into a space for nine retirement apartments.
The developers are also hoping to build six terraced cottages within the grounds of the application site following the demolition of six existing bungalows.
