Veolia, the garden waste contractor for the borough, resumed work yesterday, January 7, but not before having to make adjustments for the missed collections.

A spokesman for the Wokingham Borough Council said: "Garden waste collections will restart in Wokingham Borough on January 7 after they were temporarily suspended.

"The service was paused earlier this week due to a high number of Covid-19 cases amongst our waste collection contractor Veolia’s staff.

"Collections will go ahead as planned from Thursday, January 7, following the revised Christmas collection schedule.
