On Monday night, the Prime Minister announced that pupils would continue to learn from home leaving some parents anxious over how they will juggle working from home and teaching their kids.

As well as fears of a 'lost education', parents have expressed concerns over their child's mental wellbeing over fears of what impact a third lockdown will bring.

We asked our readers whether they think it was the right decision to close schools this term.

Kelly Millns said: "Bloody joke! The future generations are going to be screwed!"

Jen Jones also said: "Whilst I agree with closing the country down and getting this nasty virus under control, it doesn't help those of us who are not key workers, still working full time (and can't work from home) and have school aged children that we need to teach....when are we supposed to teach our children."

Nigel Hawkes also thinks schools should stay open, he said: "Children are likely to suffer the least of all age groups from covid and the most in terms of social interaction and education. Sadly it is the poorest most disadvantaged that will suffer the most. If hospital workers, bus drivers, retail staff and warehouse staff can work why not teachers? How hard can it be to stay 6ft from everyone else in a school? How can people work if their children cant go to school."

However a lot of parents in Bracknell also agree with the decision to close schools.

Frankie Ellen said: "Correct decision! Safer for all staff and parents/students and the wider community. Children are germy creatures and pass on the smallest of sniffles without even thinking."

Jemma George said: "Good decision but should have been made last week not last minute how can it be safe one day then 24 hours later not safe."

Paul Lee Jennings added: "About time he should of closed them ages ago. then we would not be in this mess."
