BRACKNELL residents could be one step closer to getting their hands on a delicious burger as the opening of the town’s new Wimpy restaurant moved one step closer.

That’s because the first designs for the popular eatery — famed for its popular creations such as the 'bender-in-a-bun' — have been revealed.

Opening in the new year, the fast-food burger chain will be returning to the town after decades away.

The News revealed plans were in place to bring the sit-down restaurant back to Bracknell in June before the council gave the proposals the go-ahead one month later.

Bracknell News:

Set to move into Princess Square, a representative from Wimpy confirmed work would start on setting up the restaurant early in 2021.

Now the plans have taken another step forward with the submission of drawings to Bracknell Forest Council which show how the store will be set up.

The chain’s updated logo will be emblazoned across the top of Unit 1 with more decorative hoarding placed on the window.

Bracknell News:

Bracknell Forest Council has validated the plans but has not yet made a decision on the signage proposals.
