A woman felt terrified after a 'creepy' man followed her asking her to get inside his car.

Shelley Keen from Bracknell phoned police on Tuesday, December 8, after she was followed by a man in a dark-coloured car.

The 39-year-old said she was walking through Stoney Road to Rookswood through Priestwood when a car stopped her from crossing the road.

As she was about to cross the road, a man in a car stopped in front of her, making her go round the back of him.

As she got to Kennel Lane she saw the car again.

She said: "It was about 11pm at night and I saw this man acting weird in the car. When I got to the other side of the estate he found me again and shouted to me saying 'where are you going', 'come and jam'.

"He must have been in his like mid 20s to 30s. I just thought to myself 'no thanks' and carried on walking. He could just be a creep but it was very inappropriate."

Shelley said this is the first time she has ever been followed in Bracknell.

She added: "I've lived in Bracknell all my life and never felt scared. It's really unusual but if he has done this to me he could do it to someone else.

"I do keep my wits about me and I never go down any alley ways."

Thames Valley Police said they received the 999 report from Shelley last Tuesday night.

A spokesman said: "At around 11pm on 8/12/20 a woman has reported that she has been followed by a man in a car near the junction of Binfield Road and Shepherds Lane.

"The man did not get out of the car and drove off but made a number of comments to the woman. An investigation is ongoing and anyone with information should call 101 quoting reference 0925 09122020."
