Child groomers, thieves and other criminals among those jailed in Berkshire this month

We have rounded up a list of people we've reported on who have been put behind bars between this time in Reading, West Berkshire, Bracknell, Wokingham, Ascot, Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead.

Matthew Viccars, Reading

On Thursday, August 27, police were called to reports of three men fighting and a stabbing at the rear of Newlands Place Flats, Bracknell.

The victim was a 28-year-old man, who was stabbed three times in the side and required hospital treatment.

Matthew Viccars, from Reading, was identified the following day and was arrested.

In November, Viccars was sentenced to a total of six years’ imprisonment.

Fay Mcrobbie, Wokingham

Teacher Fay Mcrobbie was jailed after grooming and having a sexual affair with a 15-year-old Wokingham school boy with whom she fell in love.

Mcrobbie was arrested on May 16, 2019, and gave a ‘no comment’ interview but later admitted three counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity.

Mcrobbie, of Wilding Road, Wallingford, was jailed for two years and four months and will be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 10 years.

Marvin Lewis, Reading

Marvin Lewis, 37, of Florian Gardens in Reading, pleaded guilty to four counts of possessing a controlled drug of class A with intent to supply.

Reading Crown Court heard on Monday, November 11, how Lewis was stopped by police in Reading twice over drugs.

He had 'large amounts' of class A drugs on him on two occasions between August 12 and October 5 this year.

Lewis was sentenced to four years and eleven months imprisonment.

Shkelzen Dobrica, Maidenhead

Shkelzen Dobrica, 35, of no fixed address, was found guilty of aggravated burglary by majority jury verdict at Reading Crown Court.

The attack took place in York Road, Maidenhead at 4am on May 22 when Dobrica forced his way in and threatened two people with a knife.

He has been jailed for nine years and six months.

Winson Benta, Slough

Winson Benta, 59, of no fixed address, was found guilty of sexual assault, actual bodily harm and committing actual bodily harm with intent to commit a sexual offence following a trial lasting five days at Reading Crown Court which ended August 28.

He was sentenced on November 13 to five years in jail.

Claudiu Ilinca, Bracknell

Ilinca was jailed after crashing his car at a level crossing in Wokingham just moments before a train came along and smashed into it.

At the sentencing on Friday, November 13, Judge Nott jailed Ilinca for 10 months and banned him from driving for 23 months, while the defendant’s partner watched from the public gallery.

Charlie Carter, Bracknell

Carter plunged a piece of glass into another man's back in an 'unprovoked' stabbing in May this year.

He was found guilty following the five-day trial by a unanimous jury of Section 20 GBH on Friday, November 11.

Carter was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Daniel Kiely, Bracknell

Kiely was jailed after stealing a car and attacking the owner in Bracknell.

Daniel Kiely, 41, of no fixed abode, was found guilty by a unanimous jury verdict in a trial that lasted six days at Reading Crown Court.

He was sentenced on November 13 to six years' imprisonment for robbery, with a further four years on license, and nine months' imprisonment for theft of a motor vehicle, to run concurrently.

Dean Winfield, Windsor

Winfield got into a house in Eton using keys left in the front door, and has been jailed for two years and four months.

Wajid Shah, Slough

Shah was jailed for sending messages 'too violent and graphic to describe' to members of Parliament.

Wajid Shah, 27, of Connaught Road, Slough, was found guilty by a majority verdict at Southwark Crown Court following a six-day trial which concluded on October 6.

He was sentenced on November 20 to two years' imprisonment for six counts of sending a letter/communication or article conveying a threatening message.

Lemar Wallace-Clarke, Reading

Wallace-Clarke was jailed for driving on the wrong side of the road and going through red lights as he tried to evade police.

Thames Valley Police (TVP) said Lemar Wallace-Clarke, aged 25, of Rhine Close, Caversham, was sentenced on November 11 to eight months’ imprisonment and was also disqualified from driving for two years and four months with a requirement to take an extended test in a hearing at Reading Crown Court.

Abdoulhalim Abdoulsamad, Slough

Abdoulsamad gave detectives investigating the brutal murder of an aspiring boxer misleading information.

He was jailed in November for wasting police time and sentenced to 27 months.

Keith Bunce, Slough

Bunce was jailed after smashing his way into the home of a 98-year-old man in Slough in September and robbing him.

He was sentenced to four years and six months’ imprisonment and ordered to pay £190 on November 18.

Alison Dean, Bracknell

Dean stabbed a man and "cut across his fingers".

She pleaded guilty to one count of perverting the course of justice and was found guilty by a unanimous jury of one count of section 18 grievous bodily harm following a trial at Reading Crown Court.

She was jailed for more than five years and six months.

Richard Todd, Reading

Todd forced entry into a home before attacking the owner and stealing his money.

The victim was left with bruising, but did not require hospital treatment.

Todd was sentenced to an extended prison term of 12 years.

Adam Spindlow, Bracknell

Spindlow fired imitation 'gunshots' at a house in Bracknell.

The 28-year-old aimed his imitation firearm towards a property in Stoney Road following an argument.

He pleaded guilty to the offence on Monday, November 16, at a hearing at Reading Crown Court and was jailed for two years and four months.
