As season four of The Crown captivates audiences, eagle-eyed residents may have noticed a familiar scene.

Indeed, Berkshire's stunning scenery has provided the backdrop for more than one location featured in the Netflix series - including Windsor Castle, Englefield House.

Wellington College in Crowthorne also featured in the hit Netflix series, in the scene where Lord Snowdon leaves Kensington Palace.

But one particular location in Wokingham has left residents intrigued.

Reddam College in Sindlesham features in 'Episode 7: The Hereditary Principle', following the story of Princess Margaret (Helena Bonham Carter) who visits the college to discover a shocking secret about estranged relatives of the royal family.

Most of the interior scenes were filmed in the dining hall.

Outside, the main drive and south terrace also make appearances.

The college, formerly known as Bearwood College, said on Facebook: "The critically acclaimed Series 4 of The Crown is out now on Netflix… and features Reddam House!

"Our school mansion doubles as The Royal Earlswood Institution, which plays an integral role to the plot of Episode 7: “The Hereditary Principle. Most of the interior scenes were filmed in the dining hall. Outside, the main drive and south terrace also make appearances.

"The Crown joins a long list of films and TV programmes that have been filmed at our school. Who knows what the next one will be!"

Season four of the show, which just dropped on Netflix, continues the story of the Royal Family as the 1970s draw to a close, and Queen Elizabeth (Olivia Colman) and her family find themselves preoccupied with safeguarding the line of succession.
