Councillor Gareth Barnard, Executive Member for Children, Young People and Learning, said: “Bracknell Forest schools have been working tirelessly to implement government guidance to help stop the spread of COVID-19. At the forefront of their minds is the safety and welfare of their pupils and teachers.

"Current government guidance asks schools to ensure classrooms are well ventilated, including opening windows and doors, whilst maintaining a comfortable teaching environment. To make this possible, schools have been in contact with parents offering advice that children should wear suitable clothing to keep them warm during the school day.

"We appreciate that some children may feel the cold more than others and would urge any parents to contact their school directly with any feedback.”
