A MAN who was "punched in the face and knocked unconscious" by an attacker last month is still in hospital.

The victim, a man in his thirties, was assaulted between Bracknell Stores and the Tenterden guest house on Wokingham Road on Sunday, October 18, at 11.50am.

Thames Valley Police said: "He was punched in the face and knocked unconscious during the assault."

The force explained at 2.55pm on the same day, the victim collapsed in Millbanke Court and was later air-lifted to hospital.

The victim suffered a fractured skull and a bleed on the brain.

A 36-year-old man from Bracknell was arrested in connection with this attack and police said he has been re-bailed until January 18.

Yesterday (November 16), police said the victim remains in hospital.
