One month later, Bracknell Forest Council gave the designs the go-ahead marking Wimpy’s return to the town after more than 30 years away.

Few details about the diner’s moving-in have emerged since then, however.

And work has yet to start on the Princess Square unit.

Bracknell News:

The News contacted Wimpy to ask when Bracknell’s burger fanatics would be able to grab a quarterpounder or two.

A spokesperson said work on the new store would begin in the new year.

They added: “We are delighted to say that work on our new Wimpy Bracknell will begin early in the new year.

According to planning documents, the eatery would be open from 9am to 8pm Monday to Saturday and from 10am to 5pm on Sundays.
