A postman who has worked in Bracknell for more than 30 years has sent out a desperate plea to his community.

Errol Pinnock needs £9,600 in donations to help him and his wife Christina get a permanent roof over their head.

The fundraising target hopes to raise enough money for a year's worth of rent.

His wife posted the fundraising page about how they were made homeless on Saturday, August 8, and have desperately tried to get support for housing ever since.

Mr Pinnock has served Bracknell as a postman since 1986 and has already received donations from the kind community who know him.

He said: "We are still left suffering and with no answers or callbacks from messages left. Both myself and my wife have looked everywhere to try to find a let through all the agents but they wont entertain us unless we can pay 1 years rent upfront, or get a guarantor due to my credit score being too low.

"We cant find a private landlord despite looking everywhere everyday and run out if options as we literally have tried everything. We are running out of time, with Covid-19 getting worse and are scared and to see my wife beside herself and crying breaks my heart.

"I don't know what else to say and not good with words... Sorry we have found ourselves here, but my wife is starting to give up and I don't want to lose her."

Bracknell Forest Council has been asked to comment.
