WITH the October half term upon us, most parents are probably wondering how they are going to keep the children entertained.

To help you out, we've listed five activities going on in and around Bracknell this October half-term.

The half-term begins on Monday, October 26 to Friday, October 30.

Crowthorne Marvellous Music Trail

Residents living within the area of Nine Mile Ride, Old Wokingham Road, Dukes Ride, Heath Lake and New Wokingham Road can volunteer to create themed displays to show outside your house.

There will also be displays at Hatch Ride School, on Crowthorne high street and at the Pinewood Centre. The best displays will win a prize.

Explorers are invited to purchase a map, revealing the location of each display, and visit as many as they wish by foot, cycle or scooter.

The displays will be available for viewing from 9am till dusk for the duration of the trail and the maps can be purchased locally for a suggested donation of just £2 each.

Return the map to the vendor to receive a yummy edible treat and entered into a prize draw!

Binfield Scarecrow Trail 2020

The Binfield Scarecrow Trail is back and set to be another incredible hunt for all ages to enjoy!

Maps are £3 each & available from; Crema Coffee Shop, the Foxes’ Den Community Cafe & Binfield Village Stores.

Monsterheroes returns to the Lexicon

Running until Sunday, November 1, families are invited to search the town centre for 10 creepy (but cute) MonsterHero Villains hidden on posters in retailers’ windows across The Lexicon.

Hunters can scan QR codes to learn the names, stories and powers of all ten characters to unlock a free eBook of their villainous adventures.

You will find the 10 monsters in the windows of the following retailers: Poundland and Sally’s Beauty in Princess Square, Menkind and Primark on Braccan Walk South, New Look and Beauty Base on Braccan Walk North, Accessorize and H&M on The Avenue, Holland & Barrett and Costa Coffee on the High Street.

The Great Virtual Bake Off - Halloween Edition

You've got a couple of days left to send in your crafty spooky bakes for the virtual bake off event in Berkshire.

This year National Animal Welfare Trust Berkshire are hosting The Great Virtual Bake Off.

From October 8 you will be able to send in pictures of your chosen bake to be judged and in for the chance of winning a fantastic selection of prizes!
The categories are Best Round Cake, Best Six Small Bakes, Best Junior Bake (15 and under).

Each entrant will be asked to take three pictures of their bake and send them in.Entry to this competition is £3 for our junior category and £5 for our other categories.

Hallo’welly’ween at Wellington Country Park

Wellington Country Park are really hopeful that they will be able to go ahead with the event as planned, in a Covid-19 secure way.

There's spooky crafts, treasure hunts, a Haunted Halloween Train Ride, a mini pumpkin patch and 20 minute shows in the big tent.

You can only visit if you pre-booking as no walk in's will be accepted due to coronavirus restrictions.

Due to limited capacity, tickets are not able to be cancelled, refunded or moved once booked.
