An area in Sandhurst has proven to be popular with people moving wanting to move there this year.

Many people look to buying their first home in Bracknell, with a particular area in Sandhurst seeing an upsurge in interest from buyers looking to move out of London.

Lucy Ludlow, sales director at Bloor Homes’ Southern, said: “Since lockdown, more and more people are considering a house move, with many looking to escape the city in search of homes offering more space, both indoors and outdoors.

"Proximity to parks, the countryside and other green spaces is also proving a big draw. According to Rightmove, 79 per cent of Londoners looked to move outside the capital.”

Sandhurst is a lovely small town, just 32 miles from London and with good road and rail links, making it popular with commuters.

Situated close to the A30, with the M3 and M4 motorways leading to Reading, Guildford and Farnborough within easy reach, getting around by car is an easy option.

A good selection of shops and services, as well as excellent independent and state schools, is proving attractive to families looking for a new life outside London, but with all the amenities of a well-connected town.

Lucy added: “A move towards more home working has led many people to re-evaluate their existing living arrangements and seek out larger properties, with a dedicated study or additional bedroom providing space for a home office. With the need to travel into the office becoming less frequent, many house hunters are willing to commute further for a better work-life balance.

“The recent stamp duty holiday, along with availability of the Help to Buy scheme, is prompting prospective house hunters to make the jump and move out of the city. And with significant savings to be had from the stamp duty holiday, now really is a good time to move.”

Bloor Homes Sandhurst Gardens is a new development of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes. Each home offers large, open-plan kitchen/dining rooms, whilst some even have a separate study, providing the perfect base for working from home.

Upstairs, the bedrooms are warm and stylish, with beautiful, sleek bathrooms. Outside, private gardens provide the ideal space for the children to play or to relax with family and friends and enjoy some al fresco dining.

Lucy continues: “Sandhurst Gardens is ideally located close to the town. Residents looking to enjoy the great outdoors with their friends and families are spoilt for choice. Trilakes Country Park, with its fishing lake and animal park, is in the centre of town, whilst the nearby Horseshoe Lake Activity Centre offers a mix of canoeing, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing and stand-up paddle boarding.

“There are currently a mix of three, four and five-bedroom homes available at Sandhurst Gardens. As well as the stamp duty holiday, buyers can also take advantage of a range of incentives on selected homes.”
