There have been no coronavirus related deaths recorded in Bracknell since June according to official figures.

According to the Office of National Statistics, data shows there have been no new deaths recorded in the Bracknell Forest area since June.

The total number of recorded deaths in Bracknell is 58, where deaths occurred in the period March to May 2020, where COVID-19 was mentioned as a cause on the death certificate.

The map will next be updated in early September to include deaths occurring in July 2020.

Figures exclude death of non-residents and are based on May 2020 boundaries.

Despite the data showing no deaths since June, there has been a rise in coronavirus cases in Bracknell.

The number of recorded coronavirus cases in Bracknell Forest increased by 11 over the last 24 hours, official figures show.

Public Health England figures show that 576 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Thursday (October 8) in Bracknell Forest, up from 565 the same time on Wednesday.

The health body is now including Pillar 2 tests – those carried out by commercial partners – alongside Pillar 1 tests, which are analysed in NHS or PHE laboratories and which made up the first stage of the Government's mass testing programme.

The rate of infection in Bracknell Forest now stands at 470 cases per 100,000 people, far lower than the England average of 854.

Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 17,540 over the period to 561,815.

Bracknell Forest's cases were among the 48,655 recorded across the South East, a figure which rose by 991 over the period.

Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.
