AN EARLEY resident is looking to clean dirty road signs in the town, free of charge, in order to 'improve the community.'
Andrew McCaffrey, Earley resident, asked residents on Facebook last week if anyone had a watertight tank he could borrow, in order to clean road signs in Earley and Lower Earley.

Mr McCaffrey also stated that he would cut back any overgrown foliage, all of which for free.
The response for his intentions so far appear to have received a largely positive response from the community, however concerns were raised as Mr McCaffrey would require legal permission to clean 'public furniture'.

Wokingham Borough Council (WBC) Cllr Pauline Jorgensen, executive member for highways and transport, said: "I will check for you, It's a lovely idea."
According to both Cllr Jorgensen and Mr McCaffrey, the WBC is yet to provide a response to this request.
