A CARE home staff member in Ascot has been named a 'care home hero' by a nation-wide competition.

Linda Waite, business administrator for Larkland House, London Road, Ascot, was nominated for the 'care home hero' title for her outstanding work with colleagues and residents during the coronavirus pandemic.

The competition was held by Care UK, the company that manages Larkland House and 121 other care homes nation-wide, in a bid to recognise colleagues who have shown to be outstanding in their work.

Linda said: “I’m thrilled to have been chosen as a Care UK hero.
