Police have issued a dispersal order following reports of anti-social behaviour.

Following recent complaints made by residents in Crowthorne, police have brought in tougher measures to tackle the problem.

Thames Valley Police have issued a Section 34 dispersal order in Crowthorne meaning any group of individuals that have caused anti-social behaviour will be issued with a section 35 notice requiring them to leave the area.

This also applies to those who appear to be behaving in a manner that causes alarm or distress to residents.

Locals may notice an increase in police presence around Crowthorne.

A statement made by police said: "Due to the recent complaints received by residents in the Crowthorne area, regarding groups of youths causing anti social behaviour in the locality, a Section 34 dispersal order has been issued.

"This means that any groups or individuals that have caused, is causing or is likely to cause anti social behaviour or behave in a manner that causes alarm or distress, will be issued with a Section 35 notice, requiring them to leave the area.

"Any Constable or PCSO can issue a section 35.

"The Bracknell and Wokingham neighbourhood police team will be patrolling the area, so expect a larger than normal police presence. "
