Who doesn't love a freebie, especially when you get to try a new gym out for free!

As part of National Fitness Day which takes place on Wednesday, September 23, residents in Bracknell will be able to try out Absolutely Fitness for free.

The gyms in Bracknell, Langley and Slough are inviting people to make use of their facilities which include ladies-only gyms, functional training zones, fitness classes, in excess of 150 pieces of equipment at each gym, and boxing zones, for the day at no cost.

Sandra Grochowska, assistant manager at Absolutely Fitness in Slough, said: “The aim of National Fitness Day is to highlight the importance of leading a healthier and more active lifestyle. We’re firm believers that being active and going to a gym should be fun and we work hard to ensure we provide a welcoming and friendly environment.”

In addition, those who become gym members on the day will not pay the £30 joining fee, and if visitors join the staff in dressing up as superheroes, they will receive a month’s free use.

There will also be competitions and raffles at all three gyms giving visitors and members the chance to win a range of prizes, including free week and month passes for friends and family, and discount karting sessions at Absolutely Fitness’ sister organisation Absolutely Karting.

All the money raised from the raffle will be donated to Absolutely Together, which gives free leisure experiences to families who have children or young adults with additional needs.

Harry Smith, fitness operations manager at Absolutely Fitness in Langley, added: “We’re delighted to be involved in the day by offering free access to our facilities, which we hope encourages people who have perhaps not set foot in a gym before to give it a go. We look forward to welcoming our members and new people through the doors on the day.”

Those entering the gyms will need to adhere to social distancing and hygiene rules, which include following a one-way system, training at a safe distance, making use of the sanitising kits, and wearing face masks while in the changing room areas.

No booking is required for Absolutely Fitness Bracknell or Absolutely Fitness Slough.
