AN overhead electricity pylon in Woodley caught alight earlier this week, causing emergency services to rush to the scene.
Reports of an overhead cable that was alight were made to fire and rescue services in the evening of Monday, September 7 on Colemans Moor Road, Woodley.

Thankfully the crews worked to stop the fire, which was finally put out at around 7.30pm.
A spokesman from Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 5:48pm on Monday, 7, September, we received reports of a fire involving an electricity pylon on Colemans Moor Road, Woodley.
"Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road and Wokingham were sent to the scene alongside one Officer.

"Upon arrival, crews found a power cable alight.
"Crews worked to extinguish the fire and were on the scene for approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes."
