EYE-CATCHING anti-littering posters have been plastered around the town to prevent people from littering and readers are in two minds about it.
The 'Don't be a tosser' message is part of Bracknell Forest Council's new campaign to curb littering, after a big increase in rubbish during lockdown.
We asked readers what they think of the message and the majority of residents think "it is a great idea".
Some Bracknell residents think the wording is 'stupid' and offensive, although the strong message aims to get the public thinking twice about littering.
Cllr John Harrison, executive member for culture, delivery and public protection, said: “We do not wish to upset anyone with the language we are using in our campaign posters, and hope residents will understand it is the littering that is offensive and must be tackled robustly."
Despite this, residents think because the posters are 'shocking' so people will notice it more.
Lucinda Saywell said: "Yep unless it offends or shocks seems nothing or no one pays attention anymore." Celine Reed said: "But those who litter won't care about anything anyway. Don't waste paper on them unless it's a fine."
