HAVING restrictions on where you can go can be hard for little ones to understand, especially during a pandemic.
Luckily, Bracknell is blessed with beautiful walking spots and activities to keep the children occupied.

Now that the summer holidays have come around, you may be scratching your head trying to come up with something to do.
But alas, we have compiled a list of the top 10 best things to do in Bracknell with the children.
1. South Hill Park
If you're looking for a bit of escapism, South Hill Park will be the perfect place to relax and unwind.
There is a lot of space so your children can run around and even enjoy the little maze (as pictured above).
2.Hollywood Bowl, Bracknell
This Saturday, bowling is back after almost four months of lockdown.
There are extra safety measures in place to ensure enough space between each lane and kids can enjoy rolling some bowling balls ans scoring points!
3. Monster Hunt
The Lexicon is hosting a monster hero safari hunt until September 5.
It's a fun activity where children need to find 10 monster superheroes dotted across the town. It means you have a chance to enjoy a bit of shopping suppress your kids boredom at the same time!
4. Savernake Park's popular pancakes
Al Crepes and Cafe is a big hit with children during the summer holidays.
It is run by couple Adrian Arnautu and Liliana who felt there was a lack of places to get dessert in Bracknell.
5. Bucklers Forest, Crowthorne
If Crowthorne is a little more local to you, then Buckler's Forest is a perfect option for mums with buggies.
The walk is adjacent to the new housing estate, Buckler’s Park and has flat paths.
There are also lots of ponds with viewing platforms which is great for children to keep their interest throughout the walk.
6. Dessert in Bracknell town centre
From waffle cones, rainbow ice creams and sherbet - this will take you back to your childhood!
Why not treat your little ones with a fancy ice cream, especially now the weather is hot!

7.Lily Hill Park
There is plenty to see in Lily Hill Park, with sculptures to take pictures in and beautiful flowers to explore.
Make some sandwiches and pack a little picnic and enjoy everything Lily Hill Park has to offer, and say hello to Mr Heron in the meantime!
8. Popes Meadow
Originally part of the historic grounds of Pope's Manor where the 18th century poet Alexander Pope spent part of his childhood, the park is managed to preserve its historic landscape features and is also a haven for a wide diversity of wildlife.
It is perfect for small children up to the ages of 12 with play areas and a junior football pitch free for use.
9. Cineworld, Bracknell
One for a rainy day, a trip to the cinema may be more up to your taste.
Cosy up with your little ones and enjoy Sonic the Hedgehog this weekend!
10. Bracknell Trampoline Centre
If your little one loves to jump around then trampolining may be the perfect option for an indoor activity.
Due to covid-19, the website says it is currently closed but due to reopen sometime this month (check the website or phone for details).
