EXPLORING space fascinated children at one nursery in Bracknell.

Greengables Day Nursery in Owlsmoor were inspired to research and explore all things outer space.

The pre-schoolers showcased their creativity after reading the book 'Back to the Earth with a Bump'.

Children learned about the planets and made their own ones and aliens using paint, shaving foam and more.

Nursery children also took pen to paper to write their very own letters to renowned British astronaut Tim Peake, notorious for his iconic space walk.

Julia Grant, deputy nursery manager, said: “We love to follow and expand on the children’s interests at nursery, and space has proved a very popular topic amongst the group.

"The pre-schoolers had a wonderful time and especially enjoyed developing their writing skills by composing letters to Tim Peake; we are now keeping our fingers crossed in the hopes of receiving a reply.”
