A PAIR of personal trainers from Ascot and Crowthorne were awarded £1000 each after posting workout videos to social media last month.

Matt Vlatas, aged 19, from Ascot, and Chris Dean, aged 30, from Crowthorne, were awarded the money by Lucozade Sport, as a part of their 'Keep Us Moving' initiative.

The two trainers, both members of staff at CD Fitness, Bagshot, Surrey, were picked to be in the 100 winners, out of "Tens of thousands of applicants", Mr Dean said.

The campaign's aim was to pay personal trainers, fitness coaches and instructors showing the public how to keep fit over social media, in order to support the industry that has been heavily impacted by the coronavirus lockdown.

Both Mr Dean and Mr Vlatas posted their videos separately on their Instagram accounts, where they were later picked up by the well renowned sports brand.

The videos detail a variety of warm ups, stretches and workouts that can be achieved while indoors, which makes them ideal for residents who were still 'shielding' at the time it was posted.

Matt said: "It was nice to be a part of something helping other people.
