A TURKISH barbers, a health lounge and an electronics company are all making their way into Wokingham's town centre.

The announcement of the three new businesses' arrival was made earlier this week, on Tuesday, July 14.

eActiv Health Lounge, a facility providing healthy food and individual nutrition plans, an exercise room, a recovery lounge with flotation technology, and whole-body cryotherapy treatment, is set to open up in Peach Place, Wokingham.

Pratts Pods, a family business already based in Wokingham provide electrical device-repairing services and will soon have a new store situated in Elms Field, Wokingham.

The Authentic Turkish Barbers, an independent business, promise to provide high-quality haircuts using their own techniques. The shop will also be moving to Elms Field, Wokingham.

Cllr Charlotte Haitham Taylor, executive member for regeneration, said: "The last few months have been a difficult time for business.

"Signing three new businesses, in the last few weeks, clearly shows that confidence in Wokingham has remained throughout this period and the town continues to have a bright future.

"As the summer has got underway it has been great seeing Peach Place come into its own as a popular destination for the town centre.

"Local businesses such as the Blue Orchid Bakery, Sit & Sip and the Leafy Elephant have shown their strength during the lockdown and become great hits with local residents who have enjoyed relaxing in the square.

All three new businesses are due to start moving into the units in the coming weeks.
