A WOMAN was assaulted on a river bank with police hoping to speak to two men who were fishing at the time.
At about midnight on either July 1 or July 2, a woman in her thirties was assaulted on the river bank near Riverside Park and Pools in Crowmarsh Gifford, Wallingford.

She sustained a cut and bruising to her face but did not require hospital treatment.

A 48-year-old man from Wallingford was arrested in relation to an assault of a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm and has since been released on bail until August 6.
