A 67-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman on a bus and exposing himself.

At around 22.40pm on Thursday, May 27, a man got onto the number 15 bus at the stop by Sainsbury's in Calcot, Reading.

He reportedly grabbed a woman's hand and kissed it and then touched her shoulder and arms.

Police also have reports that he made comments to another woman on the bus and that a male passenger stood in front of the offender to protect this woman.

The man then got off the bus and it is believed he exposed himself and then got back on the bus.

The 67-year-old has been released under investigation whilst enquiries are ongoing.

Thames Valley Police is also appealing for witnesses who may have seen what happened that day.

No one was injured during the incident.

Investigating officer, PC Emily Pallett based at Reading police station, said: “We are appealing for any witnesses to these incidents to please come forward.

“This incident was reported to us by the bus company but no one else has come forward.

“One man has been arrested in connection with this report.

“We would ask anyone was on the number 15 bus at around 22.40pm to please get in touch if they believe they have information that could assist our enquiries.”
