A SPATE of bike thefts in Bracknell has seen expensive motorbikes and two bicycles worth £500 each stolen.

Two bikes were stolen from a key worker in Milton Close, Bracknell at around 10.55am on Sunday, May 24.

One includes a red mountain bike and a road bike worth a total of £1,000.

Police said the investigation is filed pending further information.

A spokesman from the force said: "Thames Valley Police received reports that two bikes were stolen from an address in Milton Close, Bracknell, at around 10.55am on Sunday (24/5).

"The two bike taken were a mountain bike and a road bike. Anyone with any information on the theft should make a report via the force website or by calling 101, quoting reference 43200153128.

"The investigation has been filed pending further information coming to light."

The victim is also warning people about the increase of stolen bikes as he claims they are being sold on online on selling sites like eBay, Facebook Marketplace and Gumtree.

Another theft happened in Easthampstead where a motorbike was stolen from a locked garage.

Police are investigating the theft after a Suzuki V-Strom motorbike was stolen on Saturday, May 16 at about 3.30pm.

A spokesman said: "An investigation into this incident was carried out. No arrests have been made. It has now been filed pending further information coming to light."
