AN ARMED burglary that left the victim needing hospital treatment and belongings stolen has now led to an arrest.

Harrison Kelly, aged 18, of Yately, Hants., was arrested on Friday, May 22 after an armed burglary in Sandhurst was reported.

The burglary happened on May 19, where two men broke into a home on Park Road, Sandhurst, and assaulted the victim with weapons and demanded money.

The attackers left the home with a small black safe box and a silver briefcase.

The victim was then later treated in hospital for a cut on his head.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: "Following a police investigation, a man from Hampshire has been charged with aggravated burglary.

"Harrison Kelly, aged 18, of Betjeman Walk, Yateley, Hampshire, was arrested in the early hours of Friday morning, May 22, following the execution of a warrant.

"He was charged the following day, May 23, with one count of aggravated burglary in a dwelling."

Kelly appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, May 23, and was remanded in custody to appear at Reading Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
