BLOCKBUSTER films and silver screen movies have been filmed in Bracknell and you might just recognise this location.

Swinley Forest is a popular walking location with its beautiful tall trees and enchanting wooded trails, but did you know some award-winning films have been shot there.

Residents in Bracknell will now how often camera crews will appear in Swinley Forest and there's a good reason for it.

1) The Theory of Everything (2014)

This Stephen Hawking adaptation starring Eddie Redmayne follows the relationship between the late physicist and his wife Jane Hawking.

Part of the film was shot in Swinley Forest when Jane takes the kids camping, according to IMDb.

2) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and 2(2010)

The iconic Harry Potter films were shot in Swinley Forest and the location was surprisingly discovered by a 10-year-old boy who spotted the Harry Potter filming call sheet along Nine Mile Ride.

The call-sheet identified the walking route and the scenes which are to be filmed in the movies.

3) Midsomer Murders

Okay, it may not be groundbreaking or a hollywood blockbuster but the forest was used as a backdrop for the 2005 episode Sauce for the Goose, according to IMDb.
